I did see the work around and it did work as described.
I agree that removing software that is not used is a good idea. Does the toolbox do anything important, other than alert the user of things it thinks are in urgent need of attention?

There seems to be a startup service that enables the toolbar upon boot. It is called EnableToolbarw32.exe which as the name implies starts up at boot, enables the toolbar then quits.. In fact if you try the workaround give here you will notice upon boot that this app keeps running in the background indefinitely. Disabling this startup service will stop the toolbar from magically appearing after each boot.

There will not be any update for this bug. The toolbox is going to be replaced soon with a new software product called "Lenovo Solution Center". The latest version of toolbox (5849) is the final version and there won't be any more updates. You can keep using toolbox as long as you want, but there won't be any more updates for it.

Will we be updated automatically to the new application through the lenovo update app?
btw: as I stated in my previous post you can disable the toolbar by removing EnableToolbarW32 from startup.

I haven't checked to see if it works yet, but I found the "service" in question. It's actually just a startup item, not a service.
Go to msconifig. The name of the item is PC-Doctor for windows.

Same problem.
Config:
W520 W7pro SSD replacing the HDD sold by Lenovo.
Problem solved using the method described by "someotherguy" in page 1.

My solution:
C:\Program Files\PC-Doctor
Rename file: EnableToolbarW32.exe
And done.

My solution:
Note that this fix only solves the reappearing of the toolbox after a reboot. You still need to uncheck the option in the toolbox itself to remove it from the taskbar. Once you've done both, the toolbox won't bother you anymore after reboots.
I hope this helps!
