Unable to delete previous backups in Rescue and Recovery

Hello,

I have tried numerous times to delete previous backups in Rescue and Recovery 4 without success. My backups are on a USB 320G External Hard Drive. I can add another  backup to the backup list but cannot delete previous backups.     When I select a previous backup to delete an hour glass appears and just revolves in a circle without deleting. I am very familiar with using Rescue and Recovery, however, I am unable to delete any previous backups. Please advise. Please advise. Thank you, Mark Groch

Are you trying to delete all your backups?  If so, then delete them one at a time starting with the most recent.

Except for the base (first) backup, R&R backups are incremental.  So let's assume you have a base backup and incremental backups 1, 2, 3.  If you try to delete #1, then the contents of #1 need to be merged into #2 so that #2 and #3 are still restorable.  This process can take a lot of time depending on how big the backups are.

I picked different ones without success. I have the following backups on USB Hard Drive Backup Disk:

The lastest backup occurred on 3/26/2012. I want to delete previous backups. When I look at the USB Hard Drive the backups are not apparent for me to determine if anything was deleted. When I select view all backups in Rescue and Recovery all are shown. Please advise. I will try to delete again. Thank you, Mark Groch
