Update Retriever : running export tries to install all apps

I've successfully downloaded a lot of drivers and tools with Update retriever to a local repository on my laptop.

Now I'm trying to export this repository in order to import it into SCCM. but after selecting the appropriate items and exporting them all software is being installed locally during this export.

this has the first problem that it always halts the export process, I never get more than 20 of the 42 updates.  AND I'm unable to run the Update Retriever tool on a non-Lenovo machine.

Anyone having the same issues, a solution?

I'm having the same problem where Update Retriever which won't export more than about 5 or 6 updates before stalling out.  In the process it seems to try to be running the updates to install them on this machine rather than simply extracting them.  I need these drivers for an MDT deployment share, not installed on this one computer...

I can't find many others with the same issue much less a resolution...
