I updated the LTT today as well and nothing has visibly changed. What changes are you referring to?

I've just updated my ThinkVantage Toolbox from 6.0.5692.08 to 6.0.5717.36. I got 'ThinkVantage Toolbox has stopped working' error when I click 'Settings'.

 

I just need to know how to fix this problem, help please!

 

My system: ThinkPad T410i,  2516R77, Windows 7 Professional 32-bit

Current problematic ThinkVantage Toolbox version: 6.0.5717.36

Are you allowing the LTT to fully load and make all necessary checks before clicking on Settings?

 

The only advice from here would be to uninstall the LTT fully, restart and then reinstall it.

I guess new version only to fix the seagate momentus problem some users had.

 

EDIT: If you are updating to V6.0.5717.36 using Automatic Updates within the application, Lenovos Updater shows this info/changelog:

-Improved performance & responsiveness on Windows 7/Vista
-Resolved problem where LTT would crash every 10 minutes on some systems
-Detects when a font problem will cause LTT to crash and offers to fix it
-Removed the unecessary error seen when shutting down Windows XP
-Fixed a bug where the product opens, minimizes, then restores itself (non-Aero)
-Various fixes to video adapter & video ports tests
-Added support for AVG 2011

I have an A31p, 2653HTU, with XP Pro w/SP3 and LTT version 6.0.5717.35.

 

I keep getting pop-up messages that a newer version, 6.0.5717.37, is available. The update downloads fully, but when I click the 'Install' button, I immediately get the message 'Software not installed'. It does not matter how many times I try to update, the result is the same. This has been on-going for a couple of months and is really irritating. How do I get the update installed? Thanks.

Running .36 without issues here.

 

For those having problems with LTT, I'd try this:

1. In control panel, uninstall LTT, reboot.
2. Install a fresh version of LTT from this link.

Greetings

 

i have a T400s 2808C8M running XP Prof with 3 yr warranty to 7/2012 but on updateing LTT to latest version warranty shows expired  at date of initial purchase and now Warranty lookup tool on the Lenovo site shows 1/2010 which is 6 months from initial purchase and not a valid waranty period. Previous to the update both dates were correct.

 

 After a lot of runarround from Lenovo support they have confirmed that in their system the warranty info is correct as above .

 

How do I get both the LTT and the WLT to show the correct information?
