Will Access Connections work on non-Lenovo laptops? [ Edited ]

I find that Lenovo's Acess Connections works far better than Windows 7-64's Network & Sharing Center.  

Has anyone installed Access Connections on another brand of laptop and if yes, did it work?

Alternately, is there a 3rd party program that is similar to Access Connections?

Access Connections will not install on a computer that is not a Lenovo ThinkPad.  Just out of curiousity, are you looking for this only for your own personal use, or are you an IT manager at a company that wants to roll-out Access Connections across your company that uses both Lenovo and non-Lenovo computers?

Personal use. We have a W700 and also an X220 being delivered next week. However, we have an Alienware M15 which uses Windows 7-64's feeble Network Manager.
