Windows 7 Blue Button & TVSU

[ Edited ]

My x61 is 2 years old. Great little machine although battery life terrible!

I have recently done a clean install of Win 7 professional.  everything fine except ThinkVantage.  It disappeared as expected so I have just spent hours downloading and installing components from Lenovo website but the Blue Button still does not work.  really useful to get immediate access to turning on/off wireless etc  any ideas?

TVSU Version 4 (supposedly for Win 7) downloaded and installed but comes up with warning that it is incompatible with Win 7 and this is a known compatibility issue. Anyone found this?  solution ideas.

Is your Win7 a RTM version? I can see the same message only on Win7 build 7264, but not on the RTM build.

Re: Windows 7 Blue Button & TVSU

Hi NickP,

Normally the proceeding drivers are responsible for thinkvantage to function:-

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67949 (I suggest you try to install it in Vista compatibility mode)

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-68000 (this driver will also make Fn function keys to work including wireless on/off)

Hope it helps.
