Connect ThinkVision L194wD to a non- Lenovo laptop

Question

I have a L194wD monitor which I have never used.  Can I connect it successfully to a non Lenovo laptop instead of my ThinkPad?

 

If so, how?  I have the two cords and a diagram but no installation CD (if there was one) and no other info.

Answer

The Lenovo ThinkVision L194WD  LCD Monitor is a plug-and-play monitor which is an industry standard display.

 

Check if your non-Lenovo laptop has a VGA port. If so, just plug the cable from ThinkVision to your non-Lenovo laptop, and you should be able to run it.
