Connecting L194wD

I have a L194wD monitor which I have never used.  Can I connect it successfully to a Toshiba laptop instead of my Thinkpad?

If so, how?  I have the 2 cords and a diagram but no installation CD (if there was one) and no other info.

Does your Toshiba have vga port? if so then yes, it is plug and play.
