Lenovo ThinkVision L2440p Problem

Hey I got a problem,  I can't connect my Win 7 with HDMI to DVI cable, it gets detected but no display is visible, ive tried on different computers still dosent work, I tried to pot a Mini DVI to Dvi to HDMI (MACbook to tv) and that's work, so I know the cable work. any suggestions?
