Monitor flashing Green, Red, Grey, Black!

I am having some problems with my L220 22" monitor. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated...

Anytime the monitor is powered on from standby, from a signal into either the VGA or DVI, it will alternate flashing between grey, green, red, magenta and so on for about 15 mins.

After this amazing eye-burning colour display, the proper desktop screen pops up and everything is fine - until the next time.

I am running a dual monitor set-up and have ruled out problems with cables and graphics cards - this happens when connected to any computer and on either input.

It looks like some kind of burn-in mode, as I think I remember something similar years ago on a Dell LCD.

A good search through the manual, the menu and the forums doesn't reveal anything. Anyone experienced this, and fixed it?

when did you buy this monitor? this is a hardware problem.
