Thinkvision LT1421 - portrait mode on stand?

The Thinkvision LT1421 USB-powered external display has a built in stand.  I have seen images of the stand supporting the monitor in a landscape orientation.

 

Does its stand also support the display in a portrait orientation?

 

It seems like this monitor could be very handy as a portable external display for a laptop, especially if the display could be used in a portrait orientation, as laptop displays have a landscape orientation.
