how do i lock the screen brightness? [Picture warning >50k] [ Edited ]

im tired of pushing (fn + up arrow ke)y and fighting to keep the screen brightness up

instead of automatically letting it dim on me when i go into a dark room. how do i change this simple thing? if i have to find the sensor and tape a flashlight to trick it somehow i will lol.

tl;dr

sooooo annoying - cant see what im doing when i wanna play my browser game because light sensor auto-dims down the screen.
