Hi Erik,

first of all thank's for your review..it helped me to take it for my photo-workflow.

Now I'm awaiting for a ordered spyder helping me for a perfect calibration but in the mean time it's possible for you explain your exact "rgb parameters" of your fine-calibration? You command them through the  OS control panel or load directly profile generated by spyder? Eventually can you enclose the icc profile generated by your spyder?

Hi, erik, I almost decided to buy L220x, but I wanna ask you a question first. Can you tell me, are the letters look small, because resolution like this one is impressive and on the same time unusual for a 22" panel. I'll use it for a primary monitor.......this means autocad, a lof of word documents and the ordinaty things like browsing, movies and so on. I spend almost all day in front of my computer drawing so stareing at the letters when just browsing the net or reading something will be unduly. And one more thing-can you post a picture on 1024x768 optimized site......I mean how it looks on a native resolution, is it stretched or is just a letters in the middle and a lot of empty space on left and right

Got My Monitor Today from CDW!

It looks great. I thought the Windows XP fonts might be too small but they are just fine.  It's pretty bright and I have it turned down quite a bit but it's still kind of bright.

My favorite game Everquest works quite well and I have no complaints. With the wider screen I have more space for the game windows so it's better than it was before.

The Setup keys on the monitor itself are a bear to figure out but there is a very nice utility included that runs from Windows.

I was surprised to see the DVI cable was not dual link. I had just bought one for my old monitor so the Lenovo got the new cable and my old 19" LCD monitor got the Lenovo cable.

My USB mouse cable used to drop behind my desktop and pull my mouse with it, but now it's plugged into the USB port on the monitor and does not drop behind the desk anymore.

The back of the monitor stand has a cover plate to cover where you string the cables from the monitor and down the inside of the stand to the bottom and that cover is a little hard to take off. You kind of fuss with it trying to figure out if the top comes off first or the bottom. It worked better for me by pulling the bottom corners first.

My old monitor had a button to press to tell it to "read" the video signal so it knew what the refresh rate was. The L220x has no  button for this type of function, it seems to be built in.

luciano, the best method is to set the monitor on sRGB from the on-screen display before running your hardware calibration.   of the 5+ times i've calibrated, i've had the best luck with the display set on sRGB.

to me, letters look normal.   the pixels on my X61 (12.1" 1024x768) are the exact same size as on the L220x so the display is very easy to read.   my T61p is also WUXGA but in 15.4" so text on it always seems small when i switch (or large on the L220x, depending on which way i go).

1024x768 can be displayed on the L220x either by stretching or by 1:1 mapping with a black border.   this can be set in your display control panel.

I see today the L220X is off the website completely. No such model is even listed.

Seems strange, not making any? Problems making them? Bad model, going through revisions?

When I ordered mine from CDW it said next day delivery, but it actually got shipped a few days later.  And the web site then said ask for availability. Now it says shipped within14 days. 

I like the monitor, but what's with Lenovo here?

when lenovo products are out of stock, they pull them from the website to minimize backorders.   it's an odd practice but one that's been around since the IBM days.

i brought a l220x, but after a day or so it got some strange vertical lines and part of the colors became inverted. now i'm waiting for a replacement

Erik, one question: How about the automatic adjustment of the screen, when you rotate it to vertical mode? I red about this but I´m a little concerned how this works? Additional SW needed for this? Thanks a lot, Selim

erik, i've tried connection through d-sub as well and the lines was still there. my old mitsubishi 2060u works without a problem on the same video card
