Thank you 3DWorker. The W520 does have ++DP. I am hoping to try it out when my HMZ-T1 arrives, hopefully soon.

I would love to hear if you have any success with the HMZ-T1. I'm a bit doubtful of easy single-cable HDMI 3D (1080) off of the W520 because:
1.) Nvidia is yet to support HDMI 1.4a with 3DTV PLAY(the application that would be needed for non-3D Vision output)
2.) 3DTV PLAY only works with Geforce (officially)
3.) 3DTV PLAY only works with DirectX content, not OpenGL (which is why our Quadro cards are such a boon, as they support Quad Buffered Stereo, which is what you are going to want for output from any professional OpenGL application).
Now, because our W520's do support ++DP there might be some hope yet for 720 output, which would be fine for the HMZ-T1, but I'm still not sure of the right way to get the data to the headset, which I believe is single-cable HDMI).
It may be possible to use something like this:
see here to get some more details on what to look out for (http://3dvision-blog.com/tag/dual-link-dvi/)
with something like this:
and a hack like this:

The simple solution would be this, but I'm not sure it will work:

Anyway, I will eventually try one of the above for an HDMI 3D device, but until then I've love to have details from anyone who has successfully used an HDMI 3D display with the W520 and QBS!

Hi all. Any updates to the thread yet?
Looking forward to either test results or tech specs details from Lenovo staff.
Cheers!

I can confirm that the ++DP port does support 3D out and works great with nVidia 3DTV Play software and HMZ-T1.
I am using 720P resolution.

Great news, thanks! What about 1080, anyone? Should be also supporded, I suppose...

I want to test this. I was able to get 1080 working using a Geforce machine and HDMI 1.4 (NOT A or B!), but honestly still do not understand how... this was for movies and still photos, not for videogames.
Anyway, it is great to hear that 3DTV Play works (with Quadro drivers?). I will order a DP-> HDMI Cable and give this a spin in the next week or two.

Hi,
Yes, 3d does seem to work ok with the W520. I have a BENQ XL2420TX connected and it works ok (the BENQ is Nvidia 3dvision capable). It is connected over the displayport connection to the BENQ (you need video drivers from Nvidia where they added the displayport support). I have not tried 3d over HDMI with this setup but it is supposed to work with the BENQ, displayport does work.
Cheers

Yes. I have 3d at 1080 working over the displayport with a BENQ XL2420TX. For displayport support you have to grab the drivers from Nvidia.
