hello! i noticed and appreciated that when some folks complained that the release notes were wildly in error, the next release actually addressed it, albeit in a strange place {the NEXT set of release notes is not the right place; notice how it only increased the confusion among users}. i would like to point out, however, that neither the new 1.32's bugfix description, or 1.33's bugfix description, are correct.
1.32: (New) Improved system performance when a heavy software was executed.
this should read: 1.32: (Fix) Improved system performance on battery, with Optimus enabled, when the NVIDIA card was not being used at the moment.
it has absolutely nothing to do with heavy software being executed, unless heavy software means hardware-accelerated graphical software. no mention of it only affecting battery operation is made.
1.33: (Fix) Fixed an issue where system performance might remain slow even after the AC adapter was attached to the computer.
this should read: 1.32: (Fix) Fixed an issue where system was slow with the AC adapter connected, when previously started up without the AC adapter initially connected.
why should release notes for the BIOS be simplified to the point of being misleading at best and downright incorrect at worst? the lenovo BIOS releases NEVER get the kind of accuracy that would actually be useful to folks considering upgrading.
1) theres no need to use hard technical terms like 'cpu throttling' or 'discrete graphics', but you can describe the REAL bug in plain english, consistent, if you like, with marketing devices like 'Optimus' instead of 'switchable graphics'
2) weasel words like 'might' have no value add; it just seems like you the development team wasnt really sure that they were fixing a bug.
