Card Reader hw problem...

Hi to all!

 

I have a w500 and many problems with its integrated card reader. It seems that there is a mechanical problem from the start, because I must press SD card a little in order to get power and show up in my computer. Maybe the pins do not make contact with SD. Of course there is no problem with the card itself, and I have tested a Transcend 2GB SD, 4GB SDHC (Apacer) and a 8GB SDHC (Apacer), all without working in normal locking place. What should I do?

I had the exact same problem. They had to replace the system board to fix it, as it's integrated. (I have a w510, not sure if the w500 is much different).

Basically -- call support.
