Driver Question

I'm missing a driver for this W500 here.  I'm doing a clean install of windows from a Volume License CD and I cannot track down this driver.

I get the message of Location: PCI Slot 7 (PCI bus 21, device 0, function 3)

The 2 Drivers I'm missing both reference PCI Slot 7.  Anyone know what driver belongs ot this?

Thanks!

Re: Driver Question

What is the device name in device manager?

Right click it, go to properties -> Details tab -> Hardware IDs (the dropdown) - what is the Vendor ID (VEN_xxxx) and Device ID (DEV_xxxx)?

Given this info I should be able to tell you what driver you need...

Re: Driver Question

A tip was published to help people with OS installations for our new Montevina systems:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70665

This should help...

Re: Driver Question

Ven 1180 is Ricoh.  That should be the 4-in-1 memory card reader.

On my Vista x64 system, the installer didn't work and I had to right click each Ricoh device and choose "update driver" and then point the device at the various folders inside of the 4-in-1 folder (there's a folder for each type of memory card it supports) until I got the right one.   DevID 0843 is the SD/MMC host controller.

As you get each one installed they should get moved under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and out of unknown devices...
