I Just received a W700 and was wondering how I can verify that it has the following components:
1. 400nit brightness monitor?
2. Turbo Card w/GB memory?
I didn't see any indication about the monitor brightness in the monitor section of device manager.
I would like to verify that I received what I paid for.
Thanks for the help!

LOL So aparently I'm the only one who is concerned that the ymay have paid extra for the brighter display on their w700 and not actually received it?
I've scoured the system for any indication that it was configured with the brighter 400 nit display but so far haven't found anything.
Anyone else concerned? Anyone know how to find out the nit for the display?

For me ...
Control Panel -> Display -> Screen Resolution -> Advanced -> Adapter
Shows exactly which video adapter I have installed.
I did not order the Cache so I don't know if that shows up in Control Panel but there should be an Applet that allows you to control what application data is cached.

Thanks for the reply schmidj.
Maybe I'm confused here but my understanding is that the display ADAPTER and the MONITOR are two different things. The display adapter drives the monitor (i.e. LCD screen)..
I know what display adapter is installed in my system. That is easy to find out. My question was/is, how do I know if a received the correct monitor?
Lenovo offers 2 monitors for the w700; a 200 nit version and a 400 nit version. I ordered the 400 nit version and I'm trying to verify that my system has that monitor. I'd like to take Lenovo's word for it but because the upgrade to the 400 nit wasn't cheap I'd like to verify that I actally received it.
Please correct me if my understanding of display adapter and monitor is incorrect.
Thanks

What is the maximum screen resolution ?
If 1920 x 1200 it's the 400 NIT
200 NIT is WXGA 1280 x 800
400 NIT is WUXGA 1920 x 1200

Thanks Schmidtj!
The monitor is 1920 x 1200; so that verifies that I did receive the 400 nit monitor that I ordered.
I really appreciate the help!
I will mark this one closed.
Thanks!
