I think my W520 may have faults in its manufacturing

If I suspect my ThinkPad of having defects in the quality of its build, what should I do about it? The frame around the screen is a bit wobbly and the mouse click buttons are not as firm as my brother's T-series ThinkPad. I bought this laptop only about four months ago, although I did not buy an extended warranty.

Did not have the screen wobbly issue when I was using the W520 previously ... as for touchpad ... feels the same as the old T410

You're supposed to report those issues during the 21-day return period. Cosmetic issues are not covered by the standard warranty.

It's not just cosmetic, actually. The trackball/mouse is occasionally unresponsive when I wake the laptop up from sleep mode.

That's a different issue, but it sounds like a software or driver issue and not anything to do with faulty manufacturing.  This post is also on the page right now, just a few below yours:

There could be other related posts, search the forums, otherwise post in that thread.
