Intel SATA controller on W520 SATA III?

In purchasing the W520, I was disappointed that the SSD included is an older version of the Intel 320 series.  Everything I've read about the new 520 says it is the best SSD ever.

Is the controller on the W520 SATA 3?  And, if so, would installing a SSD 520 in place of the 320 improve performance?

Main drive bay and Ultrabay: SATA III

All other SATA interfaces (including eSATA and mSATA): SATA II (due to chipset constraint)
