Hi
Welcome to Lenovo Community
You can use SSD as primary drive and install Operating system on the same .
Secondly SSD which is installed in your system is SATA III while as the other hard drive is SATA II

Please find the link which will guide you to install the Operating System on SSD

I think what you were trying to ask was, "if you use a SATA III SDD and a SATA II HDD, will both of them only achieve SATA II speeds?"
The answer is no. The SSD in either the HDD slot or UltraBay will use SATA III speeds, and the HDD in either HDD slot or UltraBay will use SATA II speeds. The SATA channels are independant, and one slower device will not cause the other devices to slow down.
The mSATA slot is limited to SATA II, and so the most you will see out of the mSATA is SATA II speeds.
