Hey guys, Lenovo's T, X, and W series have been out for a while (especially T400/T500 series). When can we expect "refreshed" models, or completely new series of Thinkpads?
The fact that the W700 is available for less than $1,800, and that includes getting the WUXGA w/Pantone super duper color calibrator, all the cheap add-on's, and even a year of warranty - albeit the cheapest - suggests to me that something new is coming to surprise us (and our wallets) sometime in the not too distant future.
Or know? Intel's Centrino 2 has been out for a while, and Lenovo often times bring out new products to market after Intel releases a new line of processors.
What do you guys think?

Thanks man...I've had 12 Thinkpads in 10 years. I have my own company, but I always sell the old one for more or around the same price than I do the new one! When you're good at selling, you're automatically good at buying.

i notice some of the people whom buy Lenovo Thinkpads during discount period and with their tax offset scheme... can usually make a 25 to 40% profit if they sell it to people either overseas or general populaton within their city....
also being a Lenovo member, they sometimes offer additional discount on sale items.....
For example i got a thinkcentre A62 (3 years warranty) with a 22 inch Lenovo LCD screen for not even 400 USD. The screen itself is worth like 280 USD.... i can't be happier...
Also i got M57 with a Wolfdale Intel E8400 processor with 3 years warranty for 350 USD equivalent, while the processor itself is worth like 200 USD... another happy purchase....

I have problem with my M57 E8400 instaled:
I have Thinkcentre M57 6395-AB5 USFF PC. Decided upgrade CPU from E2160 to E8400 (E0 core stepping), as it is stated that E8400 is supported by 6395 system:
My BIOS update version 54JT22A is the latest, downloaded from there:
When I installed E8400, got two beeps and POST error "167 no processor BIOS update found" and FAN goes at full speed (about 5500 rpm all the time). It continues to load windows. In windows environment all seems ok, despite constant full speed fan. Everest shows CPU temperature ~75 degrees C. Maybe someone know what is the problem with POST 167 error and full fan speed? Or maybe my system supports only E8400 C0 core stepping? Maybe I can update BIOS with another version that supports my E8400 CPU? By the way, BIOS update was done using CD .iso image.
So maybe you can check what is your BIOS version?
