I have the same problem. My machine has about a 50/50 chance of the fingerprint reader working after system resume from sleep, when it doesn't work I have to choose the "other credentials" option and manually type in my password.

 

I have all the latest drivers from Thinkvantage Update as well as Microsoft Update.
