Screen Brightness Keeps Resetting

Question

I have tried to get my display to stay at a level just slightly lower than max brightness.  I have manually tried to set it in the Windows power management area and the Lenovo tool.  

As soon as I turn off the computer and turn it back on it reverts back to maximum brightness.  Does anyone know what the problem is and how to resolve it?  I do have the most recent BIOS, and this is a W510.

If you want your computer to maintain a brightness lower than max, use "Custom' as the power setting and tweak from there.  I was trying to manipulate "Maximum" and that is why it was reverting.
