Hi all,
(please accept my apologies if this was already asked, I ran a quick search but found no similar topic).
For some reason, sometimes shutting down the system (via the windows button "Shut down") does not seem to completely turn off the system.
When all operations seem completed, with a black screen, if the system is:
* connected to the power supply, detaching the power cord causes the system to sound a two-tones beep (that would normally NOT happen if the system was completely turned off)
* running on battery, then apparently the systems seems off, BUT it starts heating to such a point that it has almost started a fire in my computer case :-(
This happens randomly... so, in order to prevent any disaster, I now take the habit to physically remove the battery when carrying the computer. But this is awkward...
Any idea on a potential solution?
(currently running Win 7 Enterprise, 32bits, Bitlocker enabled, latest BIOS installed (3.09))
Thanks in advance,
Rodolphe

Hi Vmax8,
Brilliant:! the 32bits hotfix solved the issue for me.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Rodolphe
