March 30th - Ordered placed for 4270CTO, slated to ship April 11th
April 9th - Recieved accessories
April 15th - Call main customer support line and told problem with the 3D configuration, laptop needs to be reconfigured
April 22nd - Call main customer support line and told supplier issue with a monitor connector because of what happened in Japan
April 29th - Call main customer support line and told there was a communication issue with the warehouse which held up my order but the order has been escalated to a higher team
May 6th - Call main customer support line, no new information, the issue is with a higher team
May 11th - Call main customer support line, no new information, the issue is with a higher team, I insisted on staying on the phone until I could find out exactly what was going on. I was told a message was left with the warehouse team and to call back in 1- 2 days. 15 min later i get an email from the warehouse stating I need to "rebook" my order because of an invalid configuration. They didnt say what the configuration issue was and neither the support or sales associate could tell me either.
Ive now had to resubmit my order, which Im told will take 2-3 weeks to leave the warehouse.
Round and round we go.

Is it just me, or does Lenovo deliver to Canada like cold molasses? Although mine has been in Kentucky all day and scanned twice for the same thing, it has been pretty quick so far. Order placed May 2nd.

ThePriceIsWrong... Do you mean May 6th and May 11th not March?
Corrected.
Btw, my est. ship date is June 10th. 5-7 business days for delivery puts my computer arriving about a week short of the 3 month mark. awesome.
Something that the sales woman noted yesterday is that on my initial order not all parts were included on the confirmation email such as the RAM or wireless card selections. That may have caused the issue. The first day the W520 were available you couldnt buy a configuration with the RAID enabled drives. It caused an error in the system. After my experience Im starting to wonder if they had some other issues.
Check your original invoice and see if its missing any key line items. If it is I would call customer service and refuse to get off the line until they give you a difinitive answer or forward you on to someone in the warehouse. Be polite but insistent.

I ordered the w520. Last night the tracker said one more business day to go. This morning that is gone and instead it says,
"UPS is holding the shipment per a contract service offering."
What does that mean??

Order W520 4270CTO April 20th, 2011
Entered Canada Customs May 05, 2011
Released from Customs May 09, 2011
Delivered May 10th, 2011
I was never send a nice (technical) listing others seem to have, but this is my setup:
i7-2720QM, 15.6 FHD, NVIDIA Quadro 2000M, 8GB Ram, 500 Gig Disk, Ultimate-N 6300
everything else is pretty much standard.
I know I could have gone with a smaller amount of ram, and purchased and decided I didn't want to deal with questions about compatibilities.. keep the whole package under the Lenovo 3yr Priority Onsite + ThinkPad Protection.
I was a little concerned with all the stories about long shipping times, by my laptop actually shipped about 5 days sooner then expected.. I guess I got lucky.
Lenovo would not give me any deal on accessories, so I purchased the Minidock & Bay Adapter III via 3rd Party.
So far I am very happy with the laptop.. I am missing a modem which I expected (yes, roll your eyes but it is useful for sending faxes)
So.. I just wanted everyone to know, the shipping did take its time, but it was actually quicker then expected.
