Fullmetal, you got lucky it looks like. Mine has yet changed again for the 4th time a shipping date of 7/4/2012 and delivery by 7/11/2012. Who wants to put money down that on 7/4/2012 it will change to 7/11/2012 delivery 7/18/2012? Yes, Lenovo, we are on to the java counter. Kidding of course but it certainly seems that way.

Nothing was custom about this laptop other than asking for the Full HD and Ultimate Wireless card so I have no idea why it seems like they are searching for the Lachness Monster (70s show In Search Of anyone? haha) before shipping my laptop purchased on 6/25/2012.

That is very strange. seems like I have all the luck. It got delivered today, just waiting to open the box tonight, so I can do the unboxing and review.

Mine has the Centrino ultimate and FHD display, so I don't know why yours keeps getting delayed.

Is Lenovo delaying it or UPS? because Lenovo can't control UPS.

Well it finally shipped. I got notification late July 3. According to tracking it just left Japan enroute for the states now with a scheduled delivery of 7/9/2012. Luckily I will still have it in time to prep it for travel out to Blackhat at the end of the month which is what I was concerned with. Once it arrives I will post a full shipping detail here to compare with others.

Overall, I'm not dissapointed. I was just worried it was going to be a month long saga. Haha.

How do you like yours FullMetal? I can't wait to unbox mine. Lenovo has always built solid products so I'm sure I will be impressed.

Ordered my ThinkPad W520 on 06/24/2012, it shipped on 06/27/2012 and arrived via UPS on 07/04/2012. I'd say that's pretty good considering the long Canada Day weekend and such, very impressed. This is the first time I've ordered from Lenovo (also my first ThinkPad!) and I couldn't be happier with the order experience.

Yep, got mine today and it is probably the best laptop I have ever owned, and I have had many of them, including the MacBook Pro series. Well though out design and architecture for sure. My tracking history is below for future reference by new Thinkpad purchasers:
