Sat in kentucky for 5 days and then got here to Canada in a day to make their date commitment.
Now waiting for my ram and SSD that I thought would beet the laptop here.

Ordered on July 5th with a little customization.
Supposed to be shipped out on July 11th and delivered on July 18th.
So far no updates on the shipping date. I called and I was told it should change to a July 21st shipping date.
I've had a bad experience in the past (2 years ago) with a W510 I ordered and the screen was DOA. The FHD screen was obviously under warranty but it took a month to fix and they had to change the motherboard and the screen too.
This time, we'll see... but it's disappointing so far.

Got mine yesterday.
unboxing is kind of anti climatic, one piece of paper and a power cord and battery.
i never dreamed that the lap top would get here from china faster then the ram and SSD would get here from in stock vendors in the states.
Purolator has put in an investigation as to what happend to my plextor ssd that left LAX 8 days ago.
So Ilike the laptop, its very "worky" and it is for work so that is cool. Do not like the view ratio on the lcd, but no one does, and there are no choices in the windows world.
I just created the recovery disks yesterday, as I cant really get to work on the laptop untill the SSD is in and I can start installing my tools on it.

@doogman a bit of a late post, but I like my W530 so far. It's definitely faster than my W520 was(or at least I think it is) Can't wait for nVidia to release beta drivers for the Quadro so I can run windows 8

Wow, thank you very much, I recieved a call today that it was still not found or made it to the border 10? days later...
I bought a intel 520 240mb for more money locally to get on with my build. Newegg has started a claim to get my money returned.
