W500 - Bluetooth is missing / not installed anymore. Please help.

Hi. I've got a w500 4058 cto running windows 7 professional. With windows update running automatically, and I run system update often. 

My bluetooth stopped appearing in device manager, in network, in the startup tray, and when I try it from the start menu nothing happens. 

I went to support and downloaded the bluetooth files again, ran installation then it asks to repair bluetooth installation. I say ok, and then it says no bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure your bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to continue installation. 

Adding new windows device doesn't find it either. Not sure what went wrong, but my home sound system is run off my pc bluetooth to the sound system and it stopped working. 

Can anyone help please?
