I just bought a OCZ Vertex 4 128GB.
i just change the sata mode in bios to compatibilty.
Did a fresh install of win7 64bit and office 2010 64 bit.
works great for 2 weeks.
then 1 fine morning, bootup the notebook and saw
Error 2100:hdd0 (hard disk drive) initialization error
headache started...
read thr ocz and lenovo forum...
1) flash upgrade the ocz to latest firmware 1.4 stated in their website more stable and support ahci.
2) but it will clean up everything.
3) one with the firmware upgrade
4) install win7 64bit again
5) no problem and need not change sata in bios to compatibity mode. <= good start
6) then install system update and let it do the updates of all drivers
7) no problems after multiple restarts
8) however, whenever i did a shutdown. the error 2100 appears again!!
9) it will try to bootup from network as the notebook cannot see the ocz drive.
9) then i do a ctrl-alt-del and it will boot into win7.<= strange!!!
10) from win7, reboot will not give any problem. but whenever a shutdown. the next switch on will have the error 2100.
11) tried update w510 firmware to latest 1.42 still no improvement.
Anyone can give me good ideas??
this ocz vertex 4 is not cheap....

Likvid: What does WEI and the USB stick have to do with the Crucial? NM I see you resolved your issue.

Have you ever fixed this issue? I am facing same problem with M4 Crucial ... 256GB SSD ... really disappointed currently. I want to swap it with Intel instead.

No.
OCZ still finding a solution for us.
You mean Crucial has this cold boot problem too?
I tried ADATA without any issue. but it slow compared to ocz v4.
now my v4 is lying on my desk waiting for a new fw release.

Yes I have this problem with Crucial too .... although it maybe RAM problems from what I read around here, what is a good memory diagnostics tool you'd recommend?
