Re: W520 Nvidia Quadro 2000M vs HP dv7t GeForce GT 650M 2GB

Specs are now available for GPUs alluded to, above:

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, 3DMark11 GPU = 2069
(may be GeForce twin of Quadro K2000M, available in W530)

NVIDIA Quadro 2000M, 3DMark11 GPU = 1261

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M, 3DMark11 GPU = 5762
(you'll likely see this or it's worksatation equivalent only in 17" laptops, except that it's an option for the 15.6" Sager NP9150, which is based on the dual-fan Clevo P150EM chassis)

Ah: 3D FHD OLED-based display with ... the Samsung TVs, which I'd be willing to pay extra for.

Me too. If the OLED screens are like some of their LED screens should look nice if there were such an option. Samsung makes some nice LEDs. Though most most my other Samsung stuff is trash lol. Well, wish I knew a couple months ago what I see now. It would be bon voyage Lenovo lol.

Cheers

I don't think there are any OLED based TVs available for good prices.
There's a common misconception that LED TVs are OLED by some people when in fact all it is, is just LCD TVs with an LED Backlight.

An OLED laptop screen would cost a small fortune.

I'm curious to see the 3dMark scores of the new W530 Quadro cards.

"While rumour has it that Apple's TN- or IPS-based Retina displays (already seen in the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S) will soon be finding their way into MacBook Pro laptops, OLED screens could also be coming to PC notebooks in 2012":

Lenovo will consider a slim 15" OLED laptop if they'll have demand for it
