P.S. I downloaded the software and it will not install.
InstallShield Wizard Aborted..This platform is not compatible with Intel(R) WiDi or the application is in use. Please see log for more details.
Thanks.
Sounds like the machine came with the default wireless card option, which is an Atheros wireless card and not an Intel card. Your machine does not support Intel WiDi. You can check this yourself by looking in Device Manager under Network Adapters and see if there is an Intel Centrino device listed. Mine says Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6250, which I specifically ordered with my system.
You can always order the Intel card from Lenovo, cost is around $100 iirc. I would go with the Intel 6300 since it has 3x3 antenna support (the antenna's are already in the laptop), supports speeds up to 450Mbit, and does WiDi. You have to make sure this card comes from Lenovo since sticking a non-Lenovo branded wireless card in the machine will prevent it from booting.

Ok, I've check my W520 Device Manager and it looks like I have a compatible hardware according to this site:
http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/iwd/sb
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2720QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6205
NVIDIA Quadro 1000M
Windows 7 64bit Ultimate
So what am I doing wrong or missing?

Did you make sure My WiFi was installed before trying to install the WiDi software? I posted how to do this.

I think this is the reason why my WiDi is not working..but not sure how to fix it.
1. My Display Adapters in Computer Management is not "Intel (R) HD Graphics Family" it's Nvidia Quadro 1000
2. Because of the above reason. Hence, I can't install Intel Wireless Display software.
I've googled trying to find out how to switch my video from Nvidia to Intel if my w520 is able to do it. I am not sure if my w520 can switch the video or not. Is there are way to find out if my w520 have switchable graphic?
In my w520 Nvidia Control Panel does not have a feature to switch the video.
Thanks.

In the BIOS change the Display option under Config to either Integrated or Optimus. I have Optimus enabled on my T510 and WiDi is functioning. Although I do not think the Intel HD Graphics are required for WiDi, the CPU, chipset, and wireless card are what makes a system Centrino certified.

Ok I figure it out. So here are the steps/problems if anyone else is having the same problem.
1.Make sure in BIOS/Display is set to Nvidia and not anything else.
2.Make sure the Device Manager/Display Adapters are showing two displays. Nvidia and Intel HD Graphic. If not, update the video drivers or re-install it. This is where my biggest problem was. Make sure to get the latest drive from Lenovo.
3. Install Intel Wireless Display. Note: If your display display does not show the Intel HD Graphic...you can not install the Intel Wireless Display.
4. My LG has the WiDi built-in. So all I had to do was turn it on. And lauch the Intell WiDi on my w520 ans search for. Once found click connect on the w520. Which then the LG will provide the PIN.
Thank you for all the people that helped out. Hope this will help others.
Thanks.
