I have a new W520 with and Nvidia 2000M in a Thinkpad mini dock 3 170W. I can't seem to drive my Samsung 305T 30" monitor at it's native reolution of 2560 x 1600. This was no problem on my T61P also in a dock. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to resolve this issue? I saw some earlier posts but no one was using a dock.
Thanks,
Dennis

DisplayPort is required.

I am trying to use a DVI cable. What do I need for Displayport? I am not familiar with that type of connection. Is there some sort of adapter from DVI to Displayport? Will it use up the two monitior connectors or will I still be able to attach a 2nd smaller external monitor with a DVI cable?
Thanks very much for your help.

You will need an active (powered) display port to DUAL link DVI.
They cost around £50. I use a Bizlink one I bought from http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/artintel77/ on ebay.
They are a pain as they need power, and you often have to replug the usb power adapter to get them to register.
It is sad that Lenovo dont include dual link dvi in their outrageously overpiced port replicator (aka mini doc 3).

You are going to need something like http://www.amazon.com/Accell-UltraAV-B087B-002B-Di

Is this the case for both the 433830U and 433835U?
By this being "the case", I mean do both of of these mini docks NOT support DVI-D Dual Link?
I have a Dell 30 inch monitor (3007WFP) with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 which requires a "Dual Link" DVI-D.
I was going to get a mini doc 3, but now I am not sure---if it does not support Dual Link DVI-D, it will be of little value to me.
