secondary (portable) notebook monitor for W510; Syncmaster LD220G?

I travel a lot and I'm looking for a portable secondary monitor I can use with my W510.  I want something that can sit level with the W510 monitor, uses VGA and supports my W510's resolution 1920 x 1080.  It looks like the Samsung LD220G is the best fit http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LS22LFUGFT/ZA

The Samsung can match my W510s tilt and looks like it will sit level with W510 monitor...the cons I see are 1) no protective case 2) usb performance is poor...but I'll be using VGA so I don't really care about this.

 Does anyone have recommendations on a portable secondary laptop monitor or experience with the LD220G?
