EE Boot optimizer does not end optimization [ Edited ]

Hi all.

After starting the EE Boot optimizer on my brand new G770 it will endlessly reboot the computer, always mentioning that the last optimization step will be performed.

What's up here?

hey sahlix,

welcome to the forums, could you uninstall the boot optimizer and then download the software from here :

http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_list.aspx?CategoryID=290407

do not install it yet but set your unit to diagnostic mode via MSCONFIG before installing.

do that and try again.

Hi Serge, I did the steps as you suggested, but am still getting the same error.

I have an Ideapad Y570, just received it today.

Any other tips?

Try the " NORMAL STARTUP " using MSCONFIG..

Hello my new Friends

My name is Honza, I live in Czech Republic in a heart of Europe. Last week a bought laptop lenovo Ideapad G770 and this lenovo EE boot optimiyer make me crazy. It's starts optimizing a than rebooting my unit as a last step of optimalization but after restart it is the same neverending story.

Now I saw here your advice and I want to try it but I do not know how exactly. What is that mode? What is MSCONFIG?

Can you help me pleas(maybe several simple steps will be best for me)?

Hi Honza,

To access MSCONFIG, type the letters msconfig into the search bar for your start menu then press enter.

When the MSCONFIG window pops up you will see the startup modes listed there.

Choose the appropriate one then click apply, then ok, then restart the computer.

The computer should then start in the mode that you have choosen.

hi , i own a z570 and i have the same problem , i try to optimize the system but now he optimizes it every time i start my laptop , in msconfig it's set to normal startup , what should i do ?

Hi nen31,

click start type Len in search box,

on the list at the top you'll see Lenovo EE Boot Optimizer,

click' Open'

The new window that appears,on the lower right hand corner,

you'll see 'Advanced Settings',

click on it,and slide the AUTO OPTİMİZATİON  BUTTON TO off.

That's it.
