Lenovo 3000 N100 windows 7 sound driver

Hi everyone,

I've installed windows 7 OS on my lenovo

everything works fine except for the sound I can't get the proper driver for it

I tried to install the vista driver but it doesn't work every time I try to install it I get the Blue Screen and the system won't startup until I use System Restore

Does anyone have a solve to this problem

I have Realtek High Definition Audio

Thanks in advance

[ Edited ]

My Lenovo 3000N100 is doing the same thing (No audio from the Jack, or built in speakers), and I assumed up till now it was something in the Beta build that would be fixed. I just installed the RC build, and the sounds still not working. I've gone into the device manager, and updated all my drivers, and looked for any issues. I'm not sure what audio I have... how would I check? I've tried both the XP, and Vista drivers along with what came with 7. Heres the information that I can tell you for sure about my machine...

Re: Lenovo 3000 N100 windows 7 sound driver

While running Ubuntu I looked up my hardware, saw for sure that I have Realtek, and know its not a hardware issue since they work fine on that OS.  I've tried the drivers from Lenovo's site before, and just tried again. After installing them... nothing changes. In my list of a Audio devices I only see Digital Audio (S/PDIF). Where it shows tone going through I do see that its reading the sounds, but not sending them out my speakers or audio jack.

Re: Lenovo 3000 N100 windows 7 sound driver

Good news for you guys!!

I just intalled Windows 7 RC 32Bit on my Lenovo 3000 N100 0768-3RU. (Original description: Celeron M 420(1.6GHz), 512MB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 15.4in 1280x800 LCD, Intel 950, CDRW/DVD, 802.11abg wireless, Modem, 10/100 Ethernet, IEEE 1394, 6c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro) The audio wasn't working for me just after finishing install Windows 7.

However, my audio magically working after install driver from lenovo support site.
It was "Audio driver (SoundMAX) for Windows Vista - 3000 N100 (all models except 0689-Exx, Fxx, Gxx and 0768-Exx, Fxx, Gxx) "

Here is a link for you.

Re: Lenovo 3000 N100 windows 7 sound driver

Hi valmer and all,

did anyone find a solution for 3000N100 with Realtek sound?

I am using Windows 7 RC on Lenovo 3000N100-0768-59G and already tried all available driver versions including:

- most recent Vista driver from Lenovo support - driver version 6.10.0.5331

- Windows 7 driver package from Realtek support rev. 2.16 - driver version 6.0.1.5864

- as well as have tried to install it in compatibility modes...

But it's nearly impossible to disable/remove the original Windows 7 driver version 6.1.7100.0

One time I was able to "rollback" the driver to 6.10.0.5331 - but still no sound from internal speaker.

BTW: hope, with a fix the internal microphone will work as well?

Windows 7 is a big advantage - but without onboard sound it is bad.

Hope for your help or ideas.

Thanks in advance.
