My Lenovo 3000N100 is doing the same thing (No audio from the Jack, or built in speakers), and I assumed up till now it was something in the Beta build that would be fixed. I just installed the RC build, and the sounds still not working. I've gone into the device manager, and updated all my drivers, and looked for any issues. I'm not sure what audio I have... how would I check? I've tried both the XP, and Vista drivers along with what came with 7. Heres the information that I can tell you for sure about my machine...

Hi valmer and all,
did anyone find a solution for 3000N100 with Realtek sound?
I am using Windows 7 RC on Lenovo 3000N100-0768-59G and already tried all available driver versions including:
- most recent Vista driver from Lenovo support - driver version 6.10.0.5331
- Windows 7 driver package from Realtek support rev. 2.16 - driver version 6.0.1.5864
- as well as have tried to install it in compatibility modes...
But it's nearly impossible to disable/remove the original Windows 7 driver version 6.1.7100.0
One time I was able to "rollback" the driver to 6.10.0.5331 - but still no sound from internal speaker.
BTW: hope, with a fix the internal microphone will work as well?
Windows 7 is a big advantage - but without onboard sound it is bad.
Hope for your help or ideas.
Thanks in advance.

hello everyone you can use the vista driver but
you have to install it from a dos window (cmd)
that all to it
