Lenovo G450 2949 with 4GB Ram Says (2.93 GB ram usable) in Windows 7 X64 bits [ Edited ]

Hello Guys 

I need some help here, I have a G450 2949 Laptop with 4gb ddr3 RAM and running  Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.

When i look  in computer properties i see that i have 4gb (2.93 GB usable) so what is wrong there ?

My bios  is 18CN44WW (v 2.53)

Well I just  install from scratch the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits that came with the laptop and fixed

So the problem was the other Windows

I have the same problem, but my laptop have windows xp pro.

I have to reinstall?

any help would be appreciated

Unless you have XP 64 bit, you will only be able
to see and use 3 GB memory.

windows xp may not support 4gb ram usage. you may need to upgrade your operation system vista or windows 7.
