I use windows 7 rtm and everytime i wake the pc up for some reason both graphics are running. even if i had selected energy saving before sleep, the power consumption is over 15 watts. but if i change the settings to High performance and then back to Energy saving, power consumption drops to about 10 watts. It happens everytime i turn my pc into sleep.
have t400, switchable gfx ati 3470
thanks for any support
ps: don't know where to contact lenovo driver development about this bug

Same problem here, too. ![]()
The new driver for switchable graphics works in the most cases fine, but two problems are observed by many users in the German ThinkPad-Forum (thread) and by my person, too:
1.) As mentioned above, every time the system is sent into sleep with only the Intel GPU active, the ATI 3470 GPU will be active after wake-up, too. Just switching to performance and to energy-saving again turns the ATI GPU off. This is very disturbing on the go!
2.) There is no way to dim the ThinkPad LCD with the ATI GPU active. It works with Intel but not with ATI, as it does on Vista. But it is not superfluous with ATI GPU!
EDIT: There is a new driver in the downloads und support list, that corrects the 2. problem, but with this driver Windows Aero and the experience index don't work! ![]()
I hope that could be fixed, soon!
With kind regards,
