Guys,
I finally fixed this issue.
Yes MS took the WDDM 1.1 update of their .net update service (windows update) so you will have to install the default update pack from Lenovo.
When you install it, unpack the file as per normal, but then run the .exe file as Windows Vista instead of Windows 7.
This worked for me so far with no issues.
The Lenovo site is here:

Hope this helps...

Is anyone who is running Windows 7 experiencing any Aero performance lag, be it on either the T61 or T61p?
Vista would run laggy with powermizer on, even with an index of 4.2 for Aero performance...
I would love to know.
Thanks!

I have the same lag issue when maximizing and minimizing windows. It's a bit annoying. Any fix or updated driver available?

Guys,
Lenovo has Windows 7 Beta drivers online here:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/documen
Please note, note all drivers are available yet and you always have the option of running Vista drivers using Windows 7 Compatibility Mode.

My question/comment is similar for my T61p. I am planning to uprade to Windows 7 64Bit Ultimate from my current Vista 32 Ultimate. My hope is that Lenovo plans to update the Nvidia Quadro FX 570M driver as Nvidia puts the ball squarely in Lenovo's court.

Unfortunately their isn't a link for the Quatro 140m 128Mb video card which is what the T61 I'm using has in it.

Go to nVidia's site to determine the latest reference drivers for your card. The go to laptopvideo2go to find a modified installation that will actually work on your machine. Obviously, this is not a supported solution but I have done this with no problems. It seems the only option since Lenovo does not see fit to give us up-to-date video drivers.

I am currently running Windows 7 (X64) Enterprise on a T61p and have found that there are no drivers for the "128MB nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M". Are there any plans to have a driver for this particular video card on your site or the nVidia site?
Thanks,
Robert

Get the driver from here. Supports CUDA, 64 bit, and give me a 5.7 and 6.1 in the Experience Index for Graphics and Gaming Graphis, respectively. I have a T61p with Windows 7 RTM. No mods required. Just download and install.

Just noticed there was a driver available today from windows update for the 140m. Installed and seems there is no difference. Guess I can feel better knowing it was released from Msoft ![]()
