U330 + Windows 7 and Switchable Graphics Issue

Just installed the beta version of Windows 7. Only problem I'm having is dealing with switchable graphics. Can't really get it to switch between graphics card. I think it's using ATI which is drawing too much power. Anyone know a way around this? I don't expect this laptop to support Windows 7 yet but it's nice if anyone got any answers.

i'll mess around with settings and drivers later tonight and see if anything works

Fixed it. Just reinstall display drivers from D: drive. Works great! Windows 7 rocks! Power consumption is now normal again.

No kidding, you have managed to use the Power manager and Switch function on Windows 7? I've tried to install both of them but failed badly on my T500 I was really excited about W7 :/

Yeah, amazingly I get like 5 hours battery life on the indicator and the laptop is drawing about 8-10w. I'm loving the improvements so far. Definitely gonna upgrade if everything goes smooth throughout the months.

The integrated card works for me so far, but no if I try to switch to discrete mode, only a blank screen follows. Drivers are the newest from lenovo site.

i think it's caused by the driver, we need a updated one to using windows 7

Maybe right, even if Windows 7 is just a rebuild of Vista kernel and such. When I try to switch to performance I notice the USB device connected sound. And the disconnection sound right away (0,1sec later). I hope lenovo will support Win7 on our laptops too

i have send mail to Lenovo, but they reply only support Vista SP1 right now.

i have no idea how long should we wait

I just tested the switch function. Doesn't seem to be working. I get black screen after trying to switch to ATI card. Oh well, I'm just glad the power saver mode works. Let's hope for drivers in the near future.
