There's a friend who has a G455 which had Veriface set up so she had to show her face to log in. She loaned the computer to someone to use, they of course couldn't get past Veriface and log in and who knows what they did, but when they brought the computer back to my friend her Veriface config was gone, and now even she can't log in.
When we try to login throught a Windows 7 normal startup there is a message that the session couldn't be started and all she can do is shutdown.
I can safe boot the machine but when I try to uninstall Veriface it says the program has already been uninstalled and it asks if I'd like to remove it from the list of programs. If while in safe boot I go to programs ->...-> Veriface it says the camera can't be found and it won't let me into the Veriface config.
I seem to be stuck in a catch 22. To fix Veriface I have to log in via normal boot (not safe boot) but I can't because Veriface's setup is trashed. I can't find anything pertaining to this on the forum or the web.
Are we toast? Are we looking at formatting and reinstalling Windows?
Thanks in advance.
