Windows 7 CD

I just received my T510 yesterday, but I noticed that it does not come with a Windows 7 Pro CD, which is installed on the machine.

  1. How do I obtain a copy of this CD in case I need it for reinstalling, etc?
  2. How do I obtain the Product Key for my license?

Re: Windows 7 CD

You need to create the product recovery cds on your own.Go to rescue and recovery and choose the option "create product recovery disks"

The product key sticker (Certificate of authenticity) will be generally beneath your laptop

Re: Windows 7 CD

as mentioned you can create the recovery media from within the windows thinkvantage software suite.

These discs will enable you to recover the laptop to the factory condition in which you received your laptop.

Alternatively, you can download win 7 iso from notebookreview forum and use the serial number (located in the battery compartment) to activate the OS (the same serial no. would work for both 32 bit or 64 bit OS).
