Hi all,
I have a Lenovo 3000 N200 0687 - A11 notebook computer, and i'm wandering if anyone has installed Windows Se7en on a laptop similar to mine, and I would like your feedback of how its running and if there is any problems? I am going to install it dual boot - with XP.
Thanks for your opinion...

Hi,
I installed on N200 0769. Hotkeys for standby, wireless and external monitor don't work, but you can use Lenovo Care to enter standby/hibernate mode or put it under Off button under power settings, so this is no big deal. When I run TpFnF5.exe manually, it works, so still can use it. All media keys work.
Upek software for fingerprint works just fine, lenovo default software doesn't work, but I find Upek much better anyway.
No problems here with windows 7, actually it runs much smoother then Vista that was pre-installed and had hudge lag with multitasking, till I figured turn off achi in bios. With W7 I turned back on and used default Microsoft drivers instead Intel and it worked so much better then Vista that I made W7 my default OS ![]()

Hi xxx-trini-xxx ,
Thankyou for your feedback. Yes, I thought it would run much faster then Vista (I had many problems with Vista too). I will be installing Wse7en soon and will let you know how it goes.
Thankyou once more,

Well, i've decided to try upgrade from Vista this time when installing latest W7 build, and all hotkeys are working that did not work with clean install! F5, F7, F4 and F12 - I can use them all now
The only thing that is not working, is fingerprint integration with password manager.

Hotkeys only work if you do an upgrade install from Vista, not on clean W7 install.
Fingerprint for logon will work with drivers that you'll get from Microsoft update. If you want use fingerprint logon for web pages and programs, install Upek software. Upek will install only on W7 build that is downloadable from Microsoft page, for higher builds the installation is blocked.

Hi.
I also have a 0687 model, I installed Windows 7 RTM on it (I'm a MSDN subscriber). Everything works fine... except for the DVD+RW. Is not even listed under device manager. It works fine under Vista, and it works fine installing W7. Anyone experienced any of this?
I tried the registry settings posted elsewere.. but that only if theres and exclamation mark under device manager. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
i have installed Windows 7 just recently on my lenovo 3000 N200 0769. Everything works fine so far except for the scrolling function of my touchpad. Do you know any driver that can fix the problem?
Since Lenovo support replied me the following I am looking for an external driver like the Upek for the fingerprint software: "Unfortunately Lenovo N200 is not included in the Windows 7 Upgrade Capable list. There's currently no plans to provide drivers for systems that are not inside the aforesaid list."
Thank you very much.
