Realtec Audio & Windows 7

[ Edited ]

Dwalt024,

It seems like you joined the right thread with your first message - have you explored the discussion to see if it is a possible solution?  Seem like a number of possible fixes here!

Have you downloaded and installed all the Win 7 drivers for your Y530, especially the audio drivers from our support site?

Mark

Re: Y510, Windows 7 first impressions

Hi, I've been trying for the last 4 days, to get my Y510 to smoothly work with W7 Ultimate x64.

Almost everything worked fine, but just today I got the ATK drivers to work.

Thing is drivers installed OK but I still don't have the hotkeys working (play, stop, next, prev, etc). The orange volume key works fine, but the "inductive control buttons" don't.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

OK, one additional hour of investigation and it seems that I needed the shuttle center software in order to make those keys to work.

Now, I've downloaded it, and when I try to install it says that  "This sofware can only be installed on a LEGEND Dragon system".

Did try using vistasp2 compat and run as admin.

Stuck here.

*edit*

Thinking again... could it be that the W7 distro I used was meant for another brand, and now the shuttle center detects, let's say, a Compaq machine, instead of my Lenovo? Where does the Shuttle Center takes the code to verify if it's a Lenovo machine?
