does anyone know where to acquire THE microsoft recovery disc?

After all, lenovo's restore disc only get you so far?

What happens when your hard drive becomes corrupted and the windows asks you that it needs the microsoft recovery disc, lenovo's isn't accepted!

You can create your own Windows Recovery (System Repair) disk from the Windows Backup and Restore tool.  Go to: Control Panel->System and Security->Backup and Restore->Create a System Repair Disk. You can also download the disk creation tool from the web; just Google "windows system repair disk".
