Which version of Windows 7 do you have?  It only is for Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise.

These are the operating system it supports.  I don't see Vista Home Premium listed.  

 

If you were planning to use this to get Xp, that only works for Windows 7 Pro, Ultimate, and Enterprise.

Your only other option is if you have XP on hand is to use VMware or Virtualbox.

Both work great at running XP inside any OS.
