Why do I receive error C00D1059 when playing DRM-protected .wmv files on a system with standard VGA drivers?

Answer

 

Windows Media Player won’t play DRM-protected .wmv files on systems using a standard VGA driver.

 

To resolve this issue, check with the manufacturer of your video card and install the latest drivers for your display adapter.
