I’m getting Error 0x80070490 when I try to install updates. What do I do?
This error might occur if you have a corrupted file in the Component Based Servicing (CBS) manifest. To resolve this, you will need to perform a repair installation.
Performing a repair installation will restore the current Windows installation to the version of the installation DVD. This also requires the installation of all updates that are not included on the installation DVD.
Note: Performing a repair installation will not damage files and programs that are currently installed on your computer.
