Question

What happened to Windows Messenger in Windows 7?  Where is it now?

Answer

You might have noticed that Windows Messenger isn't included in Windows 7. You can still send and receive instant messages if you install an instant messaging program from another company or use Windows Live Messenger. You can download and install Windows Live Messenger — a part of Windows Live Essentials — for free.
